Meet Artist Alexei Butirskiy at LaMantia Gallery Friday, June 14th, 6-8 pm at our artist reception and Saturday, June 15th from 2- 5 pm. Please RSVP for the Friday evening reception.

One lucky attendee will WIN a framed open edition print, SIGNED by Alexei Butirskiy. To qualify for the opportunity to win, patrons must RSVP and check in at either the Friday or Saturday event. The drawing will be held at 4:45 on Saturday, June 15. Attendance at the drawing is NOT required, winner will be contacted Sunday, June 16 via email.

LaMantia Gallery will glow with the light emanating from the Master Paintings of Alexei Butirskiy. Known internationally for his skillful mastery of light and color, behold firsthand the luminescent qualities of his urban landscapes. Alexei is bringing a wonderful collection of original oils, watercolors, and limited-edition canvases.

Alexei Butirskiy is a classically trained artist, who received his MFA in 1998 from the Ilya Glazunov Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, one of the most prestigious art universities in the world.  Alexei’s favorite subjects are urban landscapes depicting daily city life without pathos or embellishment. The strength and intensity of the play of light and shadow are the expressive means by which Butirskiy’s works glow from within and demonstrate a unique virtuoso use of chiaroscuro.
